Back to Racing at Belmont: AV Innovative Design in the Broadcast Market

Racing is back at Belmont Park — and AV Innovative Design is incredibly proud to have played a major role in bringing this historic venue into its next chapter.

Over the past year, our team has been deeply involved in the technology behind the new Belmont Park, designing, integrating, installing, programming, testing and commissioning the venue’s in-house video production system for our client, The New York Racing Association (NYRA).

This was far more than a traditional AV project. AVID delivered a true broadcast-quality production environment — including the production control room, video routing and switching, multiviewing, PTZ camera systems, broadcast fiber infrastructure, KVM, audio production, intercom integration, LED/video board processing and control, and the supporting technology required to produce and distribute content throughout the venue.

Seeing those systems come to life as racing officially returned to Belmont this past weekend was an incredible milestone for our entire team.

The project also marks an important milestone for AV Innovative Design. After years of delivering complex AV, technology and infrastructure projects, AVID has officially entered the broadcast and video production market — with one of the most iconic racing venues in the world as part of that story.

A project of this magnitude takes an extraordinary amount of coordination and teamwork. We’re grateful to NYRA for the opportunity and proud to have worked alongside AECOM Tishman, New Era Technology, Samsung, Ross Video, Boldyn Networks, Gordon L. Seaman, Populous, ME Engineers, CHP, and the many contractors, consultants, manufacturers and trades who helped make the new Belmont Park a reality.
